Dutch tax, explained
What clients say about us
“We have been working with DutchTaxAdvice for almost 5 years. They have helped us register companies, manage taxes, handle employment contracts and essentially manage everything we needed to keep the company functioning so we could focus on our product instead of accounting or tax management. They are true experts and always happy to advice best options in concrete situations.”
“DutchTaxAdvice has proven to be the partner we had been hoping to find, and their support began long before we were even incorporated. They walked us through incorporation, submitting amendments to the KVK, and helped our employees apply for the 30% ruling. They’re responsive, friendly, and quick to help translate Dutch tax requirements whenever needed.”
FAQ
Quick answers before we talk.
Do you help both companies and individuals?
Yes. We support BVs, founders and international employers with tax, accounting and payroll, and we help expats with returns, the 30% ruling and personal advice.
What does it cost to get started?
That depends on the service, but the principle is always the same: you know the exact fee before we start. Companies begin with a free intro call.
Do I need to file a Dutch personal income tax return?
You must file if the Tax Authorities invite you to do so, or if you owe more than €46 in additional tax. Even without an invitation, filing is often worth it to claim a refund.
What is the 30% ruling?
A tax benefit that lets your employer pay up to 30% of your salary tax free if you were recruited from abroad. We check your eligibility and handle the application.
How much corporate income tax does a Dutch BV pay?
In 2026, 19% on profits up to €200,000 and 25.8% above that. How you structure your company affects what you actually pay, and that’s where we come in.
What is the deadline for my personal income tax return?
The standard deadline is 1 May of the following year. We can request an extension, which usually gives you considerably more time to file.
